RedEye Integration

RedEye is a modern, cloud-based engineering document management system provided by Accruent. When your organization uses both RedEye and Maintenance Connection, you can upload documents to RedEye and associate them with work order and asset records. You can then view, print, and markup assets in RedEye from the Attach tab in Maintenance Connection.

Prerequisites

To configure the RedEye integration, you need to be a system administrator. Contact your Accruent account representative for further information.

View RedEye documents in MC

1. Open an asset or a work order.

2. Click Attach.

3. In Documents, select a RedEye document.

   The RedEye icon indicates documents linked through the RedEye integration.

4. Click View.

   The RedEye sign-in page opens in a new browser tab.

5. Sign in to RedEye.

   The document displays for visualization.

Markup RedEye documents

1. In Redeye, click Markup.

2. Use the Redeye tools to annotate the document.

3. Click Save to preserve your changes.

4. Click Submit to permanently save your annotations in the Redeye document.

5. In Submit Markup, add a comment about your changes.

6. Click Submit.

   The changes become visible in both RedEye and MC after sync, which occurs automatically every 5 minutes.

RedEye as the single source of truth

To ensure that RedEye remains the single source of truth for external documents and keeps documents synchronized between MC and RedEye, you cannot add or remove asset associations for RedEye documents within Maintenance Connection.

Documents > Related Info > Assets disables the Add and Remove options for externally sourced documents.

Assets > Attach > Documents also prohibits you from adding externally sourced documents directly to assets.
